STEINBECK HOUSE

A Visit to the Steinbeck House

We took a drive down to Salinas to tour the Steinbeck house and were lucky enough to meet Carol Robles who is not only a docent, but also authored a book on the house (by the way, her book is available on Amazon.com). Her tour was wonderful chock full of interesting details and tidbits. She even was able to help us in sussing out a few mysteries on our home.

After touring the interior we noticed a few things that had been "reversed", but other than that, our houses are indeed just about the same! For more information about John Steinbeck, go to www.steinbeck.org

Some day when our ol' girl is more presentable, we hope to invite Carol and all the ladies of the Steinbeck house to visit it's near-twin.
